If you are going to use a plunger, do it the right way.
If you are going to use a plunger to try a unclog a drain, try this and it may work better. Spread petroleum jelly around the bottom rim of the plunger and then fill the basin or tub with 2 or 3 inches of water. This creates a better seal with the plunger and the drain. Then use steady forceful down strokes with the plunger.
