Noisy Water Pipes
Plumbers call this a “water hammer”. It usually occurs when a faucet is turned on or off. It is caused by a loose or improperly installed pipe strap which allows a water pipe to vibrate against the framing of your house. Check the pipe straps in the area you hear the noise and tighten.
